I Know You Told Me in Writing That Your Name Is Brook, But...

This next story happens very frequently and again I think it is the hypnotic effect of the name that spaces people out.

Today I requested help with a web site that I was having trouble creating a log in for. I filled out their form stating the user name that I was trying to create. The user name clearly had my name in it. They replied back to me with an answer and addressed me as Brooke. I looked at the history of the message and the message had come to displaying my name as Brook.

I don't think I feel that it is offensive to me anymore. Now it is more of a curiosity or science experiment to see if it is going to come back to me correctly.
